Point-and-click supernatural comedy adventure available for wishlisting on Steam for Windows PC
Just because you're left out of a dead relative's will doesn't mean you give up where treasure is involved. For an adventure game protagonist, that's just an invitation to dig in even harder, such as the nephew of the titular character in Gugames' upcoming point-and-click comedy adventure, The Will of Arthur Flabbington.
Jack Flabbington was disappointed to hear that he'd been left out of his uncle's will that made mention of a hidden treasure. Only two people can recover the treasure, but it turns out "they hate each other and won't collaborate." Sensing an opportunity, Jack turns to a psychic in order to communicate with his uncle's spirit. But something goes wrong with the séance, and instead of his uncle Arthur, Jack finds himself "bound to a random ghost" who seems no more pleased about the arrangement than Jack himself. Now the question is whether the unlikely pair will be set aside their differences and work together to find the mysterious loot.
The Will of Arthur Flabbington is a third-person point-and-click adventure presented in a retro pixel art style in 320x180 resolution. Gameplay will be similarly traditional, with plenty of hotspots to interact with (using a "look-first-then-interact interface so you won't miss any juicy hints"), items to collect and puzzles to solve. Where the game differs from most is in its supernatural elements, as the ability to control a ghost allows you to possess other characters to help accomplish goals you wouldn't be able to otherwise.
There is no target release date just yet, but The Will of Arthur Flabbington is due to be launched on Steam for Windows PC sometime in 2023.
