Point-and-click dark fantasy adventure to be reimagined with new content, voices and a revamped story

Back in 2020, Sinking Sheep launched a new game called Enypnion, a short point-and-click adventure set in a dark fantasy world of dreams. Now, with the help of publisher Dionous Games, the indie Greek developer is returning to that world with a bigger and better reimagined version named Enypnion Redreamed.

The game tells the story of Jonathan, a young boy who finds himself trapped in a "strange and surreal world" of his own creation where "his memories, fears, and imagination come to life." There, deep inside his own personal "slumberland," Jonathan is guided by the dream spirit Ikelos, who provides him with the information needed to survive this "realm of eerie wonder" filled with illusions. If he's to overcome the many obstacles in his path and make his way back home to the waking world, the young protagonist will need to "explore bizarre and twisted landscapes, solve puzzles, and unravel the mysteries of Jonathan's subconscious." Failure is not an option, as that would mean being stuck in this place forever.

Like its predecessor, Enypnion Redreamed is a traditional point-and-click adventure featuring a stylish hand-drawn presentation and plenty of exploration and puzzle solving. As you traverse a variety of environments ranging from caves to castles to magical forests, you'll meet an unusual cast of characters, some of them friendly and some of them decidedly not. What's different this time is that the game will be enhanced with voice-overs, "fresh new scenes and puzzles to challenge players, a complete gameplay overhaul, and a more cohesive narrative" that sees Jonathan embark on "a transformative journey of self-discovery as he confronts the darkness within himself and experiences personal growth."

No specific release date has yet been announced, but Enypnion Redreamed is scheduled to be launched on Steam for Windows, Mac and Linux sometime before the end of this year. The new game will be sold independently of the original one, though an as-yet-unannounced discount will be available to owners of the existing version.
