Rooms of Realities open in VR early access

First of three planned virtual reality escape room scenarios available now on Steam and the Meta App Lab
Virtual escape rooms can be great fun, but they can make for a pretty short gaming experience. Except when there's three of them bundled together, as there will be in the VR-exclusive Rooms of Realities anthology, the first of which is available now through early access.
Playable either solo or co-op with up to four people, the full game will feature a trio of unique settings, from an ancient Egyptian pyramid filled with secrets, to an underwater submarine inspired by Jules Verne's Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea, to an eerie abandoned hospital where a young woman has disappeared. Each has its own set of dangers and environmental puzzles with varied levels of difficulty, and "mysteries are everywhere" you look for any observant "secret agent, detective, or adventurer." You'll need to be thorough and observant to find all the keys, codes and other necessary items as you "operate unique mechanisms, experiment with levers, and have fun with worlds ready for experimentation."
Rooms of Realities is played from a first-person perspective, with other characters (or the top halves of them, at least) visible in multiplayer co-op mode. The game is designed for people of all ages, so that even the most seemingly disturbing settings feel inviting and player-friendly rather than scary. Only the Egyptian pyramid will be available at first, comprising three distinct chapters, with the other two locations spanning six new chapters to follow in subsequent updates.
If you'd like to get a head start on other escape room fans, you can grab the early access version of Rooms of Realities from either Steam (where a playable demo is also available) or the Meta App Lab. The game will support most VR headsets, including Meta Quest, Meta Quest 2, Oculus Rift, Oculus Rift S, HTC Vive and Valve Index.
